Christmas Lunch on Jesus (CLOJ) is an annual Christmas outreach initiative that begun several years ago. The project’s sole purpose each year is to distribute free Christmas hampers to residents of the most deprived wards of the London Borough of Barnet. As Christians, we believe that Christmas is a season of love and goodwill. We therefore aim to show the love of God not just by speaking about Jesus, but also showing his love through our actions in the community.

This year’s CLOJ project was carried out in the quickest time yet, with thousands of residents swiftly receiving their hampers in plenty of time to get ready for Christmas! Jesus House partnered with multiple churches planning logistics, hamper application processes, evangelism and volunteering duties all in preparation for the final push of hamper assembling, packing and deliveries.

Saturday 19th December was the big delivery day, marking the final stamp of Christmas Lunch on Jesus 2015. The day began as early as 7AM, with volunteers arriving from across London to forge together and coordinate deliveries as assigned. Pastor Ayo, the Project Director of Christmas Lunch on Jesus said, “We thank God today’s operations ran so efficiently, - this is our earliest finish time yet! We are extremely thankful to the Bible Society for their donated booklets and as a community we are hopeful that many experienced the love of Christ this Christmas.” Like that of the Biblical story in which Jesus fed the 5,000 out of the small amount of fish and bread gathered by the disciples, Christmas Lunch on Jesus 2015 has been a vessel through which God has multiplied the harvest for families in need, to have a great Christmas Lunch. Jesus House and our partnering churches are grateful to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly, devoting their time and efforts to contribute to Christmas Lunch on Jesus 2015. God bless you all!

We would like to apologise to the public that we are no longer taking referrals for hampers this year.
